Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims
Criminal Injuries Compensation
If you have been injured as a result of an assault on you by another person then you may be entitled to compensation.
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) is a government organisation that was set up for people who have been physically or mentally damaged due to being the blameless victim of a violent crime. In order to make a claim under the CICA, the assault needs to have taken place in Great Britain. Your injuries need to qualify for the minimum compensation amount of £1,000 and the maximum compensation amount is £500,000. The offender does not need to have been convicted of assault by the police for you to make an assault claim against them and the assault must be reported to the Police.
You can also claim if you believe that you have been directly exposed to assault where you work then a claim can be made against your employer’s insurance company.
Our expertise is invaluable when it comes to making these sorts of claims; especially where you have incurred serious injuries or an injury that resulted in fatalities. We will get you maximum compensation whilst ensuring that you are informed of any costs that may be incurred at any time throughout the assault claims process.
